Giving Tuesday Van Update!
WE ASKED, AND YOU GAVE!
In December, we asked for your assistance to repair our van. A functional van ensures our girls’ safe commutes to and from our ministry center, doctor’s appointments, and tutoring sessions, and to regularly visit all of our girls in Freetown.
You faithfully gave and helped us CRUSH our goal!
We wanted to give you a quick update!

When we first purchased our van, it was popular in Sierra Leone and parts were easy to find. Now, its popularity has dropped, making parts scarce and costly. Our trusted mechanic can still fix it, but we have been advised it may be wiser to invest in a more reliable and prevalent used van with easily available parts.
We just started searching for a good used van with the gifts you provided. Buying a vehicle in Sierra Leone is a long process since they don’t have car dealerships. Our mechanic will start looking for something that will last us years. We assure you we have set aside the funds raised during #GivingTuesday. In the meantime, the girls are being safely transported by a 4-wheel-drive vehicle.
We want to remain transparent on why the van has not been completed yet, but we promise to keep you updated on our progress and how your generous donations are used.
Thank you for helping us support vulnerable girls in Sierra Leone. We couldn’t do this without you and are deeply grateful!
