Behind The Scenes 

When most people think of Princess Promise, they picture the girls we serve. But behind every rescue, family reunification, and sponsorship is a team working tirelessly in the background to build relationships and advocate for vulnerable children across Sierra Leone. Over the past few months, our staff has participated in community health walks, connected with government leaders and fellow nonprofits, and visited churches throughout the country to share about the needs of vulnerable girls and the hope found through family-based care. These opportunities help strengthen partnerships, raise awareness, and open doors that ultimately benefit the children we serve. We also installed solar panels at the Freetown Interim Care Center to better suit our girls.

We were also thrilled to celebrate our Country Director, Alice Browne, who was recently honored with a humanitarian award recognizing the tireless work she does both behind the scenes and right beside the girls we serve. From leading our team and advocating for vulnerable children to offering a hug, a listening ear, or a comforting presence, Alice faithfully reflects the love of Christ each day.
