How much does sponsorship cost?

Sponsorship starts at $39 per month. Each girl's care is funded through five sponsorship shares that together provide a safe family home, food support, school fees and supplies, healthcare, clothing, caseworker visits, community skills training, and ongoing prayer. Your share directly supports the girl and family you sponsor. It helps provide things like rice, school fees, medical care, and daily necessities for a specific child we know by name.

How are girls referred to Princess Promise?

Do you place girls in orphanages?

Never. We believe children belong in families, not facilities. Our model prioritizes family reunification first. When that is not safe or possible, we place girls in carefully vetted Family Care Placement homes, which function like a foster care model. We are pioneering this approach in Sierra Leone because we believe every girl deserves a mother, a home, and a name, not a bed in an institution.

Can I write to my sponsored girl or send gifts?

No. Our sponsorship program is intentionally designed to support girls within the context of their families rather than through one-to-one sponsor relationships. Direct correspondence and gifts can unintentionally create jealousy within the household or lead to expectations of additional financial assistance. By maintaining healthy boundaries, we help preserve family relationships and ensure support is provided in a way that best serves the long-term wellbeing of each girl and her family.
